After studying Graphic Design and English, Stephen Kent Johnson moved to New York to work for a small design firm. He then became an art director at Martha Stewart Living and Everyday Food. His experience on set and lifelong interest in images sparked him to start shooting on his own. Since making the shift to photography, Johnson primarily shoots interiors and food, and his photographs frequently appear in publications like Architectural DigestBon AppétitCondé Nast TravelerDwellElle DécorGather JournalNew York Magazine, and WSJ Magazine. He also shoots for many architects, interior designers, and hotels.
